Samples FAQ

WHAT SIZE ARE SAMPLES?
Sample sizes vary greatly from fabric to fabric, brand to brand. We have no way of knowing the size of each. Some are small cuttings and some are showroom memo samples.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SAMPLES AND CUTTINGS?
In the world of fabrics, there are two common terms: samples and cuttings. While they may seem similar, they serve different purposes and have unique characteristics.

A sample is a small piece of fabric that comes from a random dye lot. Its purpose is to allow you to assess and determine if you want that specific design. On the other hand, a cutting (also known as a CFA) is specifically for matching colors. It is much smaller than a sample and comes from the specific dye lot that is currently in stock at the manufacturer's warehouse.

HOW LARGE ARE SAMPLES?
The sizes of samples vary greatly depending on the type of fabric and brand. They can range from small cuttings to showroom memo samples. Patterned fabric samples tend to be larger while solid fabric samples tend to be smaller.

WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THE PRICING OF SAMPLES?
The fee of $7 for samples serves as a charge for processing. There are no returns on samples.

MAY I KEEP SAMPLES?
Absolutely. You are free to hold onto them for as long as necessary.

IS TRACKING AVAILABLE FOR MY SAMPLES?
Certain brands may provide tracking information upon shipment of your samples. We will promptly send this information to you once it becomes available. Please note that the majority of samples are shipped via the United States Postal Service, which does not allow for tracking.
